Pushing a motorbike through a park...Any law against it??
I parked my bike through an access gate this morning, so it is actually on my company's property, however to get to the gate I had to travel through a park for about 100 yards.
The local park keepers have complained saying it is against the law, and BTP have attended the site, I found this out after the event.
The area which I "pushed" the bike up is paved and not grass, so no risk of damaging anything, I think this is just another case of people being ***** for the sake of it.
Can anyone advice me on the legality of what I have done/plan to keep doing?

if you were pushing it then it's no different to my pushing my tuned vespa (hence why it kept holing pistons) on a footpath. can't say what the law says, but logic (yeah i know, the man on the clapham omnibus is not ALWAYS logical) would dictate that if the engine were not running and would were walking, then it's no different to pushing a heavy bicycle

Assuming its all legal (insurance, tax, mot) and you were fully off the bike at the time, and there are no silly by-laws, then there is no problem - that I know of anyway.
You were not riding it I assume? The highways act 18something something covers this (35 IIRC), its an offence to drive/ride on the pavement. Dealt with via FPN.
OOI - why did BTP attend, what have they got to do with parks?

If they is any sort of law, I am almost certain all parks come under the Countryside Act 1968, which you can read here..
Countryside Act 1968 (c. 41)
Countryside Act 1968 (c. 41)

No NR own the property the bike wwas left on, but to access the NR property you need to go through the park.
It did make me laugh though whenI was told FOUR police officers attended.
I think I will just keep pushing it through and call their bluff,
