Ive switched off from the news, tbh Im sick of hearing doom and gloom news at the minute, hardly over the moon with my own life so to be hearing depressing stuf all the time is just a PITA.

Its not to say I dont care, its a disgusting news story but to hear how he was treated day after day after day is just pissing me off now. Does anyone else just "switch off" when they hear news on the telly/radio?

Sorry, I cant help with the Q either.

What i understood is that BabyP's real father scattered his ashes in a memorial garden (as opposed to cemetary) without a plaque or any indication he has been laid to rest there to prevent any of the abusers from ever visiting.
As for switching off then the news on, i seem to be doing it more and more regularly, so in the same boat with you dave. Still tragic circumstances though.

There does seem to be more information disclosed about the location on the web, which i would have thought contradicts the point of leaving it unmarked

as just pointed out above.

Be good to wait for the name to come out and then set up some sort of fund for changing the law. Bit like the whole Sarah's Law thing and i'm sure there will be enough people to put some money behind it.

i think we are going to see some heads roll during the police investigation. they will be hate figures if they stay. they would have to go into hidingas the general public would make their lives hell..............i hope

Totally agree - I drive for a living and switch the radio off when the news comes on.

There's just nothing positive going on..

As with all these kinds of cases,if only this sort of attention was actually used when the kid was alive.

Im not easily moved but reading the account in the newspaper nearly brought me to tears, and then full of hatred how the "thing" that called herself his mother and the sicko that was her boyfriend are still alive and well, if given the chance id happily re-enact all the cr@p they put that poor little child through, some of the accounts of what happened are shocking.

I hope they get sorted out properly in prison, tortured over a long time until they meet their maker.

I agree with Nat. It is a story of a kid abused and killed by those closest to him. It is indeed sad, but unless you personally know the child or were a relation why involve yourself in the grief so much you'd want to place flowers at the place his ashes were scattered. It is like the whole Di thing again, a way over the top overeaction.

Diana was killed by a pissed up driver. If she was tortured, having finger nails torn out/ribs broken and her spine shattered I'd have been horrified by her death too.

Terrible thing to happen for sure but by no means the saddest thing in the news.

Just the media over-reacting again and weak minded folk getting over-sensatised by all the sensationalism.

A little baby being tortured and having its back broken.....no thats not sad at all, its happy days...

Its things like this that bring home the fact the recession etc mean *** all compared living a happy life, but fortunately this story about this little lad might well help other children who suffer abuse get better care and protection.

What a stupid reply that was.
