Question If I right click...... ?

Is it just me?

If I want to reply to a post and use the Quote option, highlight part of the quote and right click, I do not get the usual drop down list which includes Copy, Paste, Delete etc

Help a computer challenged old chap please. dl

Hi DL, just use the quote button.
You can then delete the part of the quote you don't wish to use as I have done with your msg above.

Well that's what I have been doing but highlight and right click only gives me the long drop down menu not the short one??

I tried this on a Word document and it works perfectly but not, it seems, on SN. Help still needed

OK - I can still use the Del key on my keyboard so I'll do that instead. I think I have been having a senior moment but I swear that I used to be able to get a drop down menu. Thanks anyway - dl

Excuse me for being a bit of a numpty, but I don'e understand why you right click anything.
All I did was press the quote button, highlight the part of the quote I didn't want in the reply window, and press delete.

Just tried what I think you're meaning and I got a short menu, with the option to delete.

I am useless with computers so may have misunderstood though.

That's what I normally do too, but tried what David was saying as an experiment.

I don't know. I've tried copy/paste but all you get is a still image.
Perhaps Admin will let you have your own copy?

On the smiley list on the right (advanced mode) click more and he is down the bottom!

Advanced mode I'm still a novice!! I'll investigate that. Is there a smilie with a Moderator being chased out of town by an angry mob?
