Default Swiss " Griswald" Family BIG Xmas Switch On !!

I have been blooming knocked down with man flu and cold , but it is the 1st of December and nothing ( I mean nothing ) will get in the way of my girlfriend getting the Xmas lights up !!

Some of you may remember last year, if not here is a timely reminder

https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...scoobynet.html

Well this year, she decided that many of the lights (which were just fine and dandy) were crap and we needed to buy all new ones . Anyway after a dozen visits to various DIY stores for lights, power extensions, waterproof boxes, cables, generators etc, we have finally spent the last 3 days in rain, sleet and bloody freezing weather to bring you the Swiss Xmas Lights Extravaganza !!

I have also fabricated (with my new found woodwork skills ) three wooden snow bound plinths complete with rope lights and lovely decorative edging for these work of arts to sit on

* Note. This is work in progress. What you see here is just the lights to make the 1st of December possible. Next week we have 40metres of rope lights arriving, 6 plant pots of star lights being installed, a 6ft Snow Globe being sat in the back garden and others. Also we have not, I repeat, have not even started on the inside of the house !! *

I shall be making a new thread/appeal in January titled
The Swiss Electricity Bill Disaster Appeal Fund

I apologise for the quality of the photos, it was raining and I just wanted to go inside for a drink.

Enjoy

Stop trying to blame your gf and begging for sympathy, she told me clearly that she wasn't going to bother this year

I was just reading last years thread and having a good chuckle. I do remember throwing my toys out the pram at you
I shall be better behaved this year

Yes, no alloys this year. I decided to tidy the back up to make sure that all the blow up dolls had been removed

Cracking effort... can't wait to see if there's any part of the house visible when you've completed the masterpiece
