Default How to care for xmas tree

We got a potted spruce this year as its my daughters 1st christmas and I wanted to plant it in the garden afterwards for her/us to have something to remember it by.

But now we've got a tree in our lounge in a plastic pot with holes in the bottom and I'm wondering what to do with it (other than decorate it of course!)???

Do I water it? And how often? Does it need food or anything else?

Cheers

Nice idea. I hope it has a decent root ball to keep it going.

Stick the pot into a large saucer and keep the soil moist at all times but not standing in water. Try and keep the room cool or leave the tree outside until you decorate it. A drop of plant food can't do any harm. Get a special angel for the top of the tree and use the same one every year

Plant it out at the bottom of the garden where no one will mind a 30/40 foot tree in years to come!

The best thing is to keep it watered as was said. Hairspray to hold the needles will not do the tree any good if you want to plant it later.
