The girls ( I say girls read 50+ yo, 38yo and 22 yo) Have put up the Christmas decorations in the office, and I have taken the ones around my desk down.
The 50+ yo has then blown her stack that I've done it, "because I should respect others wishes".
How about the fat cow respects mine and puts them up 2 weeks later...
What happened to the 12 days of Christmas, not this over comercialized crap we now have to live with and work through.
thank **** we don't do secret santa.

Just tell her that the 22 year old told you she agreed with you about taking them down as they should go up 2 weeks before and that the 38 year old thinks the 50+ year old has also overstepped the mark somewhat and needs taking down a peg or two.....
Then stand back and watch the fireworks for the next couple of weeks

Stand up for what you believe in mate - I caused a right problem at work last week because someone was overcharging for 5-aside football and pocketing the excess (on the sly - apparently he deserved it for organising it!). I demanded my excess back but wasn't given it, so kicked off and said I wasn't playing anymore if the said organiser was pocketing people's money without their consent. I got all my money back and said I wouldn't play until the overcharging stopped or the excess went into a kitty for everyone's benefit. The team I usually play for all wore a shirt bearing my name last week to mark my absence (and stick two fingers up at the organiser) and since then the organiser has stepped down, someone else has taken over and any excess is now put into a kitty. Stand up otherwise nobody will take any notice of you.

They all wore a shirt with your name on? Sad *******s....
I used to organise 5 a side and would charge £2.50 each. There would be excess from this if more than 10 turned up but Id put it to one side because the following week Id have to pay for the pitch and only 8 people would turn up. the Excess went towards that. People wernt happy I was even doing that. **** em though. Its harder than you think sorting 5 a side out, sending texts, making sure everyone is turning up with money etc especially when you have to pay for the pitch a week in advance.

back on topic, xmas is just the excuse for gossiping hags to get out of doing work and focus on the non-productive activity of jollying up the office.
(they can then waste more time in January taking it all down)
make sure you trip over the xmas tree and then ask where the PAT testing sticker is on the light plug !!!
LOL.

I can't see the problem either, depending on workload I'm either too busy or I can't be arsed to put them up, so let them get on with it

I agree it's not an easy job to organise 5-aside but the organiser never used to pocket the excess he'd just ask for an equal split between the number of players playing to cover the cost of hiring the pitch and we always knew how many people would be playing 3 or 4 days in advance of booking the pitch. It's only recently that he's taken it upon himself to start charging excess and pocket it.
As for wearing a shirt with my name on it, yeah it probably was sad but it was a big and bold statement on the front of the shirt and everyone saw the funny side of it.

I'll bet she didn't complete a full risk-assessement before putting the decorations up. Sounds like she needs to be sent to the Health & Safety re-education camp.

All blokes in our office - the only Christmas tree/foliage in our office will be whats managed to grow in the odd unwashed coffee mug over the last few months.
