I was thinking with the new year on its way there may be a diet and fitness room needed,

wehayy 100% in favour of NO
We need CWE back before we need a diet/fitness forum/section
I, for one, would prefer to have a good old heated discussion/argument about some religious nutters than to rabbit on about someone who might have fat thighs

i was just thinking that everybody in the new year will start regimes and i suppose perhaps join a few other forums, so i wondered if a new subsection would be worthwhile in her

Agreed regarding getting CWE back before anything else. The thing I like about NSR is most off topic threads are here so I only venture into the other rooms every now and then. I dont want to be jumping in and out of different rooms all day long keeping up with different threads

I think it would be a good idea, along with a tv and audio section as it would leave the likes of nsr less popular which means more threads get seen,

Nah, General is more Scooby related. Im not interested in anything Scooby related, hence why I come into NSR. Sport is the only other one I visit frequently

appeal of NSR is the wide ranging topics, couple of threads a week and a pile in jan doesn't warrant a new forum and keeps the mix going in here.

My serious view: we don't need a CWE OR a diet forum, both are NSR fodder.
Ironically, IMHO having a adults only forum where controversial CWE can be discussed will have the opposite of the desired effect; it will yield more childish behaviour and less serious debate.
Contrary to what some will tell you: you're allowed to have an opinion on here, even an unpopular one (unless I disagree with it)
Just articulate it in a civilized and non-insulting manner and don't get arsey when people disagree or your post gets negatively rated! Threads that are, or descend, into being silly can go in the hutch. If people want to let off steam, there is the fight club.

NSR needs to stay NSR and go nowhere near any other forum. The Muppets have found their way into NSR a lot more and we don't need the Subaru loving, knock sensored, turbo timing, oil surging cretins in NSR too.
CWE would remove some of the argumentative, misguided rares so that has to be a good move.
Reinstate those desperate to be reinstated and give them back their one way ticket to Muppets.
Bring back Pissy and NSR can be back to where it was before the site was papered over for sale.

I'm not usually keen on the logic "well if they can have one, why can't we" BUT,
Ok, on the basis that if the photographers and the gamers and the DIYers get a forum, then I suppose there is an argument for a fitness forum, if there was sufficient interest.
BUT then again:
It has to end somewhere, or we end up with a specific forum for every single hobby. I'm quite keen on *ahem* Films
(as I'm sure are the vast majority on here) Do I get a forum too? What about music? What about Art. How about a forum dedicated to Interesting other internet sites. How about Comedy...... How about a forum for those of us with a fetish for Brazilan, lesbians, with a penchant for dressing up in rubber, smearing marmite over their exposed skin, and shouting "all hail Ns04"

You see what I'm getting at: I'm a pervert......
Er, and that this is first and foremost a site about Subarus so we do have to retain some kind of focus!
CWE on the other hand is DEFINATELY in the remit of the NSR forum. I just don't see the point in that.
At the end of the day though, I'm only one voice.
Albeit the correct one!
