George Foreman Grill
I am interesting in buying one of these but there are so many different types. I want that can feed a family and ideally easy to clean.
Which one would you recommend.
Are they any good. Or would it be another 5 minute wonder lol
thanks

I have the one with the hotplate by the side and it is quite useful. It isn't used very much, but occasionally we have an indoor barbeque if we feel the need to overload on meat.

We have one because our stupid oven doesn't have a seperate grill, good for burgers and bacon and great for toasted sarnies, crap for anything else though.

the best georgie to buy is the one that is the best fit in your least used cupboard,so it fits nice and snugly with your breville, food processor and your bread baker.

Buy a cardboard box and a big black magic marker. Cut the box into steak sized pieces and draw griddle lines with the marker and then eat. Same great taste.

make meats taste like cardboard but great for things like toasted sandwiches, sausages and veg. We have toasties in out house 3/4 times a week.
dead easy to clean, just leave it on and wipe it down when its hot - well thats what the wife says she does

We've got the Anthony Worrall Thompson version, which is better than the original George Foreman because you can remove the plates to clean them.
With regard to the tasteless cardboard comments, I have found that the trick is not to leave stuff on for too long, stuff does tend to cook a lot quicker than you expect. It's great for cooking marinated stuff on too
The best thing about it though, which it has in common with the deep fat fryer, is that on nice days you can stick it outside to do it's stuff, so your house doesn't stink to high heaven afterwards.

The most chav kitchen appliance you can get after a deep fat fryer.
Also got a whoreman fwiw but it hardly ever gets used except for making cheese toasties (they are great for those)

our george foreman hasn't seen the light of day for 3 years at least!! Then my other half won another one last year... took it straight back to Argos and asked for credit vouchers to use at a later date... Foremans are a waste of money imho

Lol, 'male' stereotypes surely take precedent over any other stereotype?
....in other words I haven't fried sh*t in it because the wife takes care of matters of food, cleaning and BJ's

See my previous post about using them outside Kenny, this in my mind places ours in the same category as barbeques and Yorkies
