Future civil unrest? Would you join against Police etc?

Future civil unrest? Would you join against Police etc?
lets say by this time next year , the world really has turned bad and people are frightened etc about little work and been homeless etc.
So anger turns to the streets etc. what side would you take knowing that there is no way in hell the police could control such a scenario. Could you see yourself fighting the Police etc to try and ensure food for yourself and family etc. Would you arm yourself? After watching whats been going on in Greece etc and how people are getting "mad" against how they believe this world and the police /government are taking us. I think once one major european city riots then the rest will join in and vent their anger.
Or would you just accept it and follow "orders" from the Government?

But if it does get "angry" then i cannot see the Police having 2 x sets of rules for those that they think are good and those they think are bad. And just how far would the average Police officer go if they knew it was such a bad situation?
look at how people attacked the Police during the Poll tax riots? Imagine 100 times that amount of people really really scared for themselves and their families.

To put things another way I would quite happily defend my family / my home / my food even if it mean hurting another person only if the army, police or anyone who is supposed to be doing the protecting failed, after all what other choice would you have?
I doubt I am alone in this sentiment.

Unless the authorities start to take a firm hand against the criminal fraternity and the lack of respect for authority by so many of the younger people, this country will descend eventually into complete lawlessness.

It's here already! If society does descend into oblivion, best make sure you are well armed, or well remote.

With a Shotgun & .22 Rifle I think I'd survive better than most.
