Default Domestos Zero imescale....don't buy it!

For some reason, it contains a bright green dye. Let it get into contact with ANYTHING other than the porcelain of the tpoilet bowl, it'll dye it green, and its NOT removable.

Contacting Domestos (Unilever), just gets you pointed at a disclaimer on the bottle, (in tiny letters.

Quite WHY a toilet cleaner NEEDS to be bright acid green seems to be a mystery

My advice to you all is, JUST DON'T BUY IT.

Well it can splash or drip as u use it, you would expect to be able to wipe it off without it turning everything green.

Thing is, if it's bleach like, bleach can do just as much damage if it comes into contact with certain surfaces. What exactly does it turn green? Anything other than the toilet, or fabrics etc?

I just wonder as I had been going to try it.

I only open the bottle over the toilet and pour it round carefully. If you sling it round like a bottle of champagne on the winners podium, then I suppose it's going to stain (same as ordinary bleach can damage some things too).

Should it really require a disclaimer to tell you that a strong chemical designed to disolve limescale might not be a good thing to spill on stuff?

LOL at some of the replies on here.

What turned green was a splash on the pale brown carpet. I'd given my eldest grief about leaving the loo "smeared" and he'd obviously used the stuff last night after he came in a bit worse for wear, and splashed it but not noticed. Now we have a lovely green stripe about 4" long and 4mm wide. B*gger!

maybe the product should contain a higher "age of use" warning, or a "Do not use while phished up on shandy bass" stickers across it.

as above i dont think it makes it a bad product IMHO.

Maybe not a bad product, just a stupid one.....I mean, comer on, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE BRIGHT GREEN DYE?

I wonder what it's doing to the environment? And what use is it in the product?

I lol'd so much I accidently dropped my spoonful of muller rice on the carpet where I work.... I need to find a good excuse and blame it on someone else!

Will this stuff work on muller rice flavoured carpet?
