Where has COBgone?

I believe COB buggered off for a number of reasons chiefly the amount of abusive PM's he was getting from certain nasty elements on this forum.
Even though COB did wear his heart on his sleeve to an extent and laid himself open to certain comments, seeing some of the PM's from people was really nasty and totally out of order. I, for one, would be incredibly ****ing upset if I received the same amount of **** he did, so I can only imagine that he has taken a sabbatical to let things die down.

I don't think his heart-on-sleeve style was such a bad thing. Personally it was his willingness to jump down people's throats and accuse them of trolling simply for holding a contrary point of view that got on my ****.
But I wouldn't expect him to leave because of it.

PS I have never sent CO'B (or anyone) an abusive PM

If he was getting pms that bad I don't blame him going tbh.
Personally I didn't mind the fella , obviously some people on here dis like with a passion if they went to the extent of abusive pm's.
I'm sure he'll be back

It could be his run of bad luck just got worse. He could be dead.

Why should anyone put up with being bullied especialyl by PM? Got something to say then say it in front of everyone instead of being coward is what i reckon. Abuse either via PM on on forum isn't needed and those responsible should be lialble to infractions.

The PM warrior behaviour should be seen as no better though and nobody deserves abuse.
Maybe he knew how many he had dished out and thought it best to lie low.
That said he had a heart and I doubt for one minute he was a bad lad. He just struggled with the concept of life a bit.
He should return though as SN takes all sorts.

Exactly that, and to add, he even denied when challenged on a thread that he'd given me an infraction for not saying what he wanted to hear. He did infract me however as was later revealed by the site glitch around the time of his 'break'.

Agree he should return, though. If he stops doing that.

In all fairness I am not surprised that he has left. There are too many people that jump on the band wagon and 'gang up' on members and slate their comments/own opinions and their problems they might be having. Its a forum was are all in titled to our own thoughts on a particular matter.
Quite a lot of people have left because of one thing or another and even when certain members have had good advice and where able to help out others through there own experience is not on. We need members like this to make a forum what it is. I do sincerely hope that the new owners of SN can make a change for the good and SN becomes a much better friendlier place to post.

Why has my post bee regarded as unwanted?
For saying you don't have to read you pm's? Is that statement so bad?
I'm not agreeing with bully pm's. Just saying if you get nasty pm's from several members on here. Don't open pm's from them.
Some right touchy gets on here at times.

I think a few members take the micky a little and just joke around but theres always a handful who go one step to far with the abuse and isnt intended as a joke

a recent post of his was thanking gary moulson for his insurance, it also said thats 10000 posts so he was out of here.
although he did get some stick with people saying he was lazy idle etc, I think the majority were trying to push him into doing something.
