Looking to update the one in the bedroom and was looking for a 19-21" with integrated DVD player (and preferably Freeview too).
Have looked at loads but they all seem to have really tinny sound quality and having young children and thin walls, I don't want to have to upgrade to a cinema system!
Anybody got any recommendations for one - can spend up to about £275.
Cheers

Just bought a 17" with DVD & ipod doc from Sains for £220 to use in the kitchen, it's bit of jack of all trades..... speakers are in the base of the stand and it sounds ok, but for £220 it's great value for money.

I'd be amazed if you can find one with anything other than tinny speakers at the that price point. Small speaker systems like B&O, Bose etc would be over that threshold before you added a screen.
You might get "loud", but I doubt you'll find anything with a rich, full gamut of sound, especially low frequencies.
This goes for nearly every flat panel out there, barring actual hi-fi manufacturers.

We got our one from Aldi's of all places. It's only a cheapy make, 'Tevion' I think, but it is 19inch, has freeview and dvd for just under £200. And that was a good 3 months ago I think. Bloody nice little unit too, if you're not worried about having a well knowm name on the front!

I was leaning towards a DMTech 20" (DVD+Freeview) as they apparently have an LG/Samsung panel and can be bought for around £200 - £250, but whilst they're getting reasonable reviews, the sound always has negative feedback.
Tesco is doing a 22" Technika (DVD + Freeview) for £200 but again, sound seems to let it down.

Smaller than you want but Currys have got a Matsui 16" freeview DVD combi for £129, or £124 with a 5OFF voucher online. Thought it was worth a punt

Have two of these, one in our room and the other in the kids room. Very good TV.
