Default Ceramic Knife Sharpener

my dad has got a couple of ceramic knifs, but they are blunt now, im looking for a sharpener for them, have tried a tungsten one, but the knife killed that (it was very good for normal blades)

any ideas? or better still, shops that sell them?

maybe something diamond??

OK, that's weird.....
Sorry, I can't be any help at all but I had a bizarre dream about trying to sharpen a ceramic knife last night

they are hard as ****!!

i have tried a anolon diamond bar/rod style one, and spent a good 4/5 mins, and it hardly touched it!

My understanding was that good quality ceramic knives do not blunt/need sharpening ??

You need a very fine diamond stone for this as ceramic is unbelievably hard - second only to diamond on the Mohs scale. But sharpening is a real skill in itself so unless you know what you're doing, take them to a professional knife-sharpening service.
