Still waiting for the plough to come down this way. There's no way I can get my 'work wagon' out to the main road as it's about half metre deep and drifts of a metre or more. I need some booze for this evening

I 'enjoyed' an hour and a halfs walk to the off-licence and back this afternoon. Bloody hard work it was wading through knee deep snow and avoiding the drifts.
Was even more difficult on the way back carrying a back pack full of beer, wine and a bottle of Bacardi
I put on my snowboarding gear and a pair of wellies

Gotta keep the japs eye warm
Seasons greetings mate, you can keep your snow thanks we grind to a halt with 1mm of the stuff. I can't imagine what'd happen if we had that much

4 wheel drive, winter tyres and good fortune has seen me through so far
I think I'm a much improved winter driver since driving each winter on compacted snow/ice

I can totally sympathize with you about being "over" the snow. The first big fall is always nice to see, then realization dawns that the daily drive will be slower, plus you need to clear the drive, and contend with other nutters on the road who seem to think it's a dry summers day. We spent part of yesterday clearing an accumulated 2 - 3 feet of snow from the deck, should have done it earlier as it had been rained on, so the bottom portion was horrible, heavy slush.
It got up to a sweltering 11C yesterday, nearly took my shirt off to get a tan Think it's meant to be dropping to a warm -2 during the day, feeling more like -6 with the windchill.
