I watched both programs, and couldnt stop laughing at the best bits. Vic and Bob were so funny in the day, Shooting Stars, Vic Reeves Big Night out ( Whats on the end of your stick Vic ? ) were tremendous. However, I was so looking forward to the new show but was disappointed. I even thought George Doors was a bit old hat too. Many of the sayings were old hat, I didnt think it `gel'ed` as good as it did, and the guests were pi55 poor.
I think this can be said of most qerky comedy shows though, many second series arent as funny and become a bit played out. Little Britain is a great example of this, as the second series, and the American one, just wasnt as good as the first, if anything quite unfunny.
Another example is Harry Enfield / Paul Whitehouse, that series on BBC was total crap. Watching it, I felt embrassed for Harry Enfield, as what was once a tear jerking, pant wettingly funny guy, has become the total oppisite.
The only show that kept getting better, in my opinion, was the Fast Shop. Now that was gold !
