Anyone been to the Algarve in April/May?
How did you find the weather?
We are thinking of going around then and as we have an 18 month old daughter we're not to fussed about scorching Temperature, just warmer than here
We know from going to the Canary Islands over the last 6 or 7 years that its always a hit or a miss with the weather.

Funny thing is, the mother in law said "oh surely you dont want to go there after all that happend to the McCanns!", ****witt that she is

My parents have a villa a few hundred miles north of the Algarve (30 mins north of Lisbon) and we take our young kids there every mid-May. Where they are, it tends to be around 70 degrees in May and early June, which is fine for the beach. The Algarve is almost certainly warmer.
At that time of year, I would prefer the Canaries (we're not going to Portugal this year cos we're getting bored of going back to the same old place - just don't tell my folks
)
