I recently bought some alloys off someone for a bargain price of £52! in a no reserve auction. The seller, an eBay member with 508 positive feedback replied to my, 'when can I collect' email I sent straight after the auction saying Wednesday. Now I was off work on Friday so said that would be fine and could I come early afternoon? Anyway, I never got an email back but was excited so I made the 100 mile round trip. No-one was in and I couldn't get through to him on his mobile he gave me. I went home and had received an email saying come after 6pm, tried to call but, still no answer ![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I sort of gave up but the day after that he sent me an email basically saying you have missed out now, sorry. I tried to explain but he was for none of it.
He has now relisted the alloys at £60 start with a reserve but won't reply to me. I am not very happy to say the least. I have never left anyone bad feedback but feel I should. I only have 5 feedbacks so, could he start a none paying bidder thing if I do it? Am I likely to get Rodgered if I do?
Thanks for reading

Report him to ebay and show them all the mails between you both, if it was done on ebays internal mail then even better. He was obviously gutted about getting a low amount for them so ge has backed out and gone into hiding and re-listed them.
Ebay can do without that sort.

Chalk it down to experience.
Ebay won't do anything. Had similar experiences with cars and nothing happens.
Ebay don't care - they have got their fees from the seller, and that's all they care about.
Ebay's internal mail system is private to you - not subject to ebay being allowed to look at it BTW.

I wouldn't of minded but I was going to give him more as I knew that they were cheap! I know I should take it down to experience but it really pissed me off cause he basically went along with it. I wouldn't of been bothered had he emailed me at the end of the auction explaining he wanted more...

Not the done thing but you could just shaft all of his remaining auctions. Sign up with a random username, ask the seller a question? Just state he's a dodgy ****e....

Surely thats how people like this get away with it ?
I'd say give it a go .. report him ! and fight it all the way ..
If no result .. I would certainly mess with his bids for a while ... maybe £50 worth

I would say report the new item, report the old item as no received, and then chalk it down to experience.
Ebay are pretty lame at dealing with these things I have to say. But there is no excuse for messing you about like that and wasting your time and money.

New ebay account, bid £300 or so, win auction, then either ignor him or turn up stating that you're the original bidder and that you're only going to pay him £52 as that was the original deal - even better if they're in the boot of your car.

But my experince with ebay as a buyer having won cars, with the seller then refusing to honour the sale is bad.
They just send you a template email saying they can't prove anything, despite me sending them proof of the seller's email demanding more money.
Ultimately, ebay have no say as the item isn't owned by them and they simply want the money paid to them by the seller.

Ebay might do something.... in his auction how long did it state payment should be made? If say, it's seven days and it took u only a few days to go up there with intentional payment, and he messed you about, he can't relist that item in such short time without looking suspect. Don't leave his bad feedback just yet, just email him saying you want the alloys, even prepared to pay a little more, and if he doesn't comply tell him you have a whole website of sn'etters with ebay accounts to mess up every auction he starts!
haha I'll throw a couple of ghost bids in, I aint scared

Have I missed something here. You tell the vendor that you are coming at a certain time. Get no confirmation and are surprised they are not in at a time they may well be at w*rk.
Then when you don't show when they ask, they relist and have you as a no show.
So who is at fault here? Just curious!
