That lot looks like sawn pine,a couple of years ago we had a simular thing down here but it was all top quality hard wood (teak, mahogony and iroko),tonnes of it piled up it was a whiskey galore moment with hundreds of people getting some and people with tractors getting loads
.there were a lot of new hardwood windows and doors fitted around here afterwards lol.

I was in Brighton last year when it happened. My better half and I were leaving the Concord 2 and every 15 yards there were vans and MPV's loading up with wood.
It was so funny, Not even worth policing to be honest. The russians can take it as compensation for artificially inflating house prices around london and surrey.
( I understand it was a Russian boat, not just a random dig at our eastern friends)

Talking about beach finds....
I read on the BBC site that certain beaches regularly get large amounts of Coal washed up on them from seams at sea that are washed ashore by the tidal movement. People often go and legally collect this coal and sell it.

Going to take a long time to dry out.
£45 for a pick up (Hi Lux) of properly dried and seasoned wood (mostly ash) here for logs. He even unloads it into our garage.
It's so damn cheap that I insist on giving him a bit more each time!
