Congratulations. But a serious question. Can you give five children all the love and attention they need? My sister has "only" three but it's clear that one of them is crowded out.

Do you really think he would have had another if he didn't think he could give them all, all the love and attention they need

Its bloody hard work sometimes to acheive it

It's easy enough. Tonite for example, i'll light the fire in the back room (lounge) and we'll all get on the BIG sofa and watch a DVD or chat about the week. The kids love it. Their ages are,

Paisley-16 (the only girl)
Cameron-12
Zeth-9
Alfie-14 months

Paisley is never in, either at college or shopping, or out with her friends. Pictures etc. The boys are either wi-ing or x-boxing it in the front room. One thing though is we always always, sit in the dining room at the table, every evening meal time. No excuses, that way we all get to talk about things. Plus i'm absoloutley BRAIN DEAD now . Cameron loves helping me cook in the kitchen, we ban all women from entering our domain, when we are in there. I suppose it's just normal to me now, i still get time to take my Escort cossy out for a spin with Zeth. He is car and football mad. He seems to know all the spec's of all his favourite cars. It's times like this when i'm typing you realise just how GREAT they all are.

Do you seriously believe that all parents with lots of children ARE capable of giving them that? I certainly don't. I presume my sister thought she could before she had her third. In my opinion she was wrong. There has to be a limit, surely?

Different people, different limits !

It's a shame your sister finds it hard to deal with 3, is she a single mother? does her partner or ex help out ??

I come from a family of 3 and loved my childhood.

I know what you mean. But as a parent of 5 I can give them the love and attention they need. I don't get alot of "me time" but thats a sacrifice I'm willing to give up. Maybe your sister requires more "me time" than me.
My sister has only 1 and she struggles but she loves having "me time" going out etc....

I defo won't be having anymore though as I do think 5 is my limit

No not at all, just a classic case of "wanted number two to be a girl, not another boy".
