Guys if youve got kids PLEASE READ THIS
Guys some of you may know this but I came across it and didnt believe it
If youve got kids born between 1986 and 2003 you are entitled to claim for childrens tax credit for the years 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 this could amount to £1048.00 in total
youve all got to do is this
phone your Tax office with your national insurance number dob etc, explain you are phoning about the unclaimed childrens tax credits(Most of them allready have an option to go straight to it, they will tell you weather you are entitled to it or not (I was, thats the remap sorted)
you then go onto there website www.hmrc.gov.uk go to the search and type in (11ctc) it will then bring a form that you need to fill in takes 5 mins
send it back to your tax office they will calculate what you are entitled to and send you a cheque
THERE IS A CATCH THE FORM HAS TO BE IN BY THE 31ST OF JAN
Guys do this they said to me that my cheque would be posted out to me by the 7th of Feb
Even if you are not Entitled its a waste of a 5 min phone call if you are its a nice little new years prezzie to brighten up a poxy rainy month, enjoy spending your Money

I looked up my 'local' tax office from the code on my pay slip. You aren't supposed to send it to your nearest one to where you live (unless you are self employed) but the one that handles all your tax which will be the one your employer's head office uses.
Find your tax ref on your pay slip and put it in here HM Revenue & Customs : Office Locator to find your tax office.

They should all go here:
HM Revenue & Customs
9th Floor
Castle House
31 Lisbon Street
Leeds LS1 4SW
If you send it to your local tax office, they'll just send it to here anyway.

The address is on this page;11CTC*-*Claim for Children's Tax Credit
Individual tax payers submitting a completed 11CTC should send it to their local tax office

If you call the tax credits help line and give them your NI number they can tell you if you have already had it.
Its not you can't have it now its that you have already had it.
