Pot Noodle's
I have not really eaten them for years but recently have been strangely drawn to them again, just had a Tikka Massala one, ok, they are all differing degrees of vile but it hit the spot.
The Satay one is yak
Chow Mein is weird
Beef and Totmato is Ace - almost like food
Best has to be Chicken and Mushroom, though its not as tasty as it used to be.
Curry for that old school 80's thing, remember building Lego Technic whilst eating one.
Bombay Bad Boy, ok I suppose
My tip, crush the Noodles to reduce the length so they don't fall of the fork and do an arc that slops sauce on your chin at the same time as inflicting a burn, then put the water in, wait, then bung it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

I like the way that the chicken and mushroom has no chicken in so it's OK for us veggie wierdos to eat
BTW I haven't had one for yonks but have been known to partake of the odd PN for the purpose of childhood reminiscences

After pouring the hot water in the pot noodle and letting it soak in for a couple of mins.I give it a stir and then pop in the microwave for 30 seconds sometimes a minute,it thickens the sauce and makes it taste alot nicer. But i like thick sauce same as gravy,i can't stand thin or watery gravy i like it Thick, mixed with some mint sauce yum.

had one about 6 months ago, first time since a poverty ridden student, either my taste buds have mutated or the pot noodle has.
Might be something to do with less salt?

Just come back from the shop with 2 x Beef & Tomato, mmm mmm mmm.
There is defo a knack to making them though. My method involves breaking up the noodles with a fork, pouring on just the right amount of water. Leave it a while, go back, stir it while adding the sauce, leave a bit longer. Then eat!
Damn it, gonna have one now

i can remember some random on the radio having a proper discussion on the best way to "cook them" lol
i like the bombay badboy ones (got to be kingsize) and had one last week while at work
when the bombay ones first came out i can remember then being far to hot to eat, so either i am used to hotter food, or they started weakening them down a bit ?
me personally, fill the the fill line and that is it, add no more water, then fold back the foil lid and leave for a few mins, then stir em.
some people fill to the fill line, then stir them and then top back up to the fill line

The trick to getting a good mix is to crush it while the lid is still on. This frees up the plug of dried noodles and lets you fill it properly.
and I'm another veggie that likes to partake of the soya

I had a king size chicken and mushroom last week or the week before... fantastic!
I like to break the noodles up slightly before adding the water, helps with getting the right mix.
I remember back in about 94 or 95 going to watch the BTCC at Oulton Park and Donnington. We'd camp out for the weekend and live off Pot Noodles and Kay Cider... happy days!

I'll eat curry, chicken and mushroom, beef and tomato. My favorite is curry.
One evening last week we had been busy after work and hadn't had time to prepare a proper meal so we had a pot noodle as a snack. What we didn't know was that our daughter had been asked to write down what she had eaten as part of a school project. Typical! She gets to announce that last night my parents fed me pot noodle for my tea.

Everyone looks down their noses at them, I am sure there are worse things you can eat, nutritionally noodles are just carbs and I dont know what the value of Dust is but there is plenty of that, I think its just standard practice to knock them but they serve a purpose, less than a quid, hot, tasy, easy to prepare, ok not exactly Gourmet but I have had meals out and would have preffered a Pot Noodle.
For a Carb loaded feast, bang one on top of a bag of chips form the chippy, then retire to spend a week or so digesting it
