Default Orange upgrade.....

Contract has run out with orange and have not been contacted by them........had a £10 a month saving by not leaving them last year so was only paying £25 a month for 750mins and unlimited texts...

I only use approx 400 mins and 50 texts anyway..

Well last week was contacted by a company called business direct or something like that trying to get me onto Three.I know they have issues with signal round my way so said would rather stay with orange(free voicemail suits me)....

He then offered me the HTC touch Hd on an 18month contract for free to include 500mins and 100 texts.......for ...............£19.99 a month!!!!!!

Is this too good to be true.......whats the catch...

Any info appreciated..

Not really a catch, they're just desperate for your business like any other company. Contact Orange and tell them you've been poached and that you'd like to leave and see what they offer. Last year I had an N95 8Gb, 1000 mins and 100 texts for £25 a month. My wife went from pay as you go to contract with them on the same tariff as me.

Well today i phoned orange to cancel and go on a sim only contract.......was 500 mins and 100 texts with no contract on a month by month basis....

They put me through to there disconnection department and said they would give me the same deal that i was allready on for 19.67 a month....so 750mins unlimited text, free local landlines etc......and either a Se c905 or the Htc touch hd for free!!!!!

I chose the touch hd.......

Nice one.
Retentions are usually the best ones to speak to for deals. But from time to time you get someone who just reads your PAC code out and wishes you goodbye lol

I think i ve tried to leave them the last three times my contract has expired.......

One of the lads who works for us has just joined with orange and has no where near as good a deal.....has the c905 with 600 mins and 100 text i think but pays £35 a month....

i thought they gave better deals to new customers....

Na thats a whiners myth mate. I have always been VERY well looked after.
Got a fantastic deal with my Blackberry, paying about £14 a month for PUSH, unlimited data and 100 mins and texts ( I use the other phone for calls and texts)

Orange have always looked after me, a few hiccups, but I forgive them lol

The C905 is utterly brilliant.

I have had mine for a month and cannot fault it.

Roofer, I had the HTC touch Diamond. Loved the phone but only ever got it to play about with. Could not live with a touch screen day to day.

well the phone turned up today....and there is no way i could use it in my line of business....its way to cool and fragile looking and would get ruined.

So its up for sale ...... will put it on ebay and see what it fetches.

Premier all the way.
Speaking of which, when you call 150 and select option 1, do you still get "your through to Orange Premier" ??
Mine was terminated for a couple of weeks, and now its on the bill, but not on the welcome.

Annnnnnnnnnnd sorted.
After speaking to "normal" people for a while and getting nowhere, my premier advisor has sorted it all out.

Right........the phone sold for £370.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More than the 18month contract i have just entered will cost.

So by keeping the c902 which they sent me 3months ago to replace the old k810 which they no longer stocked i have eneded up with 18months free mobile phone use...

Bargain......

lol I have a Blackberry Curve already, hoping to change it to an 8900 curve asap, but even the 8320 is great.

Just want to try that Nokia out, not a keeper though. I have my 6220c for everyday phone stuff, that suits me fine

Agreed though, if it was one or the other, the Blackberry would stay now.

Sti-04, I was gonna get a 71, but Orange took them off personal contracts..... and have now put them back on. That said, I think I will stick with BB for now. 8900 you say.... what network ? lol

As soon as you get one, hop over to crackberry.com and follow the links to update the OS.
The latest 8900 one improves the battery life and speed VERY significantly (ie, double what the OS it shipped with gave in my case..)
