Default Did anyone watch Interceptors the other night..?

They showed the Essex Police Driving Instructor test driving the Evo X.
At one point he makes a right turn off a main road, seemingly straight into the path of an oncoming car.... CLOSE!

Just a boring observation.
On looking at it again, it didnt seem that the car was slowing for him or anything

Just wondered if anyone else noticed the same scene.

Yep, Astra I think but the Astra didn't seem to slow down so maybe a trick of perspective?

Preferred the show to the BBC one but Road Wars is still the daddy.

Unhappy

Of all these show i find the Ploice out there nicking scumbags for the courts to cut them loose with little or no punishment.

On chap caught driving without a licience for the 4th time - 4 month supervision order and a 6 month ban (ban on what exactly) - what is the ******* point of that he has already been caught driving without a licience 4 t3 times - is there not a pattern of non compliance or who gives a **** there already...

Phew, so it wasn't only me then. Thought I was imaginging it.

Hank, yeah quite possibly a trick of the eye, but on watching for the 5th time I was still pretty certain lol.

Road Wars indeed is still the daddy of shows. Shame they are not making any more with that lot (so people say)

Paul, does my nut in. I was in hysterics a week or so ago though after watching Ross Kemp in Afghanistan, after a taliban fighter was caught, tested covered in gunpowder residue, then released without charge due to lack of evidence!

Was that just for clipping a car, or is there more too it? How did the police get involved.

So presumably the punishment was actually for leaving the scene, rather than the damage?

Had to laugh at tonight's episode where they "helped" by towing a car for some lads that had broken down - and dropped it off on double yellow lines

Cant stand any of these programmes, as they show the police as hand tied useless tw@ts. A lot of which is not there fault, but sometimes there attitude show some of them to be morons, with no life experience outside the police force. Thus they lack commensence when dealing with Joe Bloggs on the street.
Intercepters is the worst, I'm sure there are good guys out there, just wish they could put them on the telly instead for some of those clowns.

I can't understand how half of them have licences in the first place. After all according to the Office of National statistics, on a Number of accidents/injuries/fatalities the Police are number 1 if the number of miles driven are taken into account. Therefore meaning they are the worst drivers on the road by far.
Myself and my collegues as couriers, are the best (but we do 3-5k a week)

lol I loved the outcome of the S3 chase.
Tissy neatly putting the Evo into the door of the Audi, trapping his partner in the car, and not in any way preventing the Audi from fleeing further....

Only for the case to be let go. lol

Another perfect example of regardless how done and dusted an offence seems....... its never that simple.

Paddi, I thought Road Wars showed the proactive units as a force to be reckoned with, but also very much human.

That S3 chase was classic - 115 through a 30, failing to stop for police and all the rest and case gets dropped.

Dopers get a warning, 15yo already on bail gets let off, Joe Schmo good citizen gets done for 3 points, 60 quid and raised premiums because he was caught at 78 in a 70 by a camera. Hardly seems fair does it?

The outcomes/sentances are always pish but I enjoy the shows anyway. The dude with the busted bulbs who couldn't shut up cracked me up.

Perfect example to all those out there who think the police dont try. Good chase, committed, and got the nick.... only for the next link in the chain to be the weak one.

The guy who could not shut up was hilarious, and another good example of the annoying people who think they can outsmart the system, that the police put up with daily.

I think the scrap yard bit was a copper exercising his right to caution, maybe in the hope to not build yet another hate relationship up.

Fair, sadly the law never really is when you are on the wrong side of it. But hopefully its painting a clearer picture of how the police TRY and get the right results. Obviously not all do.

You do have a case, and it is the better of the Police shows that are on.
