Found a Doggy

Found a Doggy
Seems we have a new addition to the family:
Last week, my mum's partner heard the neighbour's dogs kicking up a fuss in the private field behind the house (belongs to the neighbour). Dogs are all Jack Russells, three of which are more or less puppies. Doing what ratters do and attacking something small and furry.
Well thing is, the small furry thing was making a right squealing sound, so we intervened and shooed the dogs off to find this tiny bundle of fluff curled up in a ball.
At this point, it was so small we thought it was a cat. It was petrified and stayed curled up in a tiny ball. After a while, he eventually came round and uncurled to see what was going on....it was a puppy!
Took him to the vets who gave him a clean bill of health and sorting his bite wounds, and confirmed he was about 4 weeks old. Seems some feejit thought they would be "humane" and dump him with some Jack Russell puppies, in the stupid thought that they would accept him into the pack - Christ, how stupid are some people? He would have endured less pain being drowned!
Well, he's come on leaps and bounds, got his confidence and doing what puppies do best - be cute
Anyhoo, enough babble. Say hello to Rolly the pup:

He's not learnt to bark/yap yet (thank god); just sits there making a little growling noise.
Markings are spot on for a rottie - but he's a bit too hairy...and small.
Currently playing guess the breed. He's crossed with a yorkie, that seems pretty certain. My bet's on a Westie (Fourche Terrier).

How can people be so bloody cruel? This sort of thing makes my blood boil. Heartless barstewards. They should be strung up by their bits
Well done on rescuing Rolly - i take it you are def. keeping him for good??
Keep us updated on his progress! He is a little stunner

Well done mate, much respect for taking him in
How could someone just dump a little fluffy pup like that!
At least he's been rescued by someone with a big heart, so hats off to you sir

Its beggars belief: And there is a charity run dog's home up the road as well! Not only cruel and ignorant, but lazy ******* as well. Tragic thing is; Where are the other pups now?
I guess we're keeping him; my mum has took quite a shine to him
Been along time since we had dogs; We used to have dobermans, so I think the markings kind of reminded us of our old dogs.
He's currently took a great liking to the hot water bottle: Being 4 weeks, he is far far too young to be away from his mother. So the bottle is the closest thing he has to snuggle up to and keep warm.

Gutted to hear the poor thing was dumped like that and left scared to fend for itself and being bullied by the neighbours dogs
Cracking little fella there though, well done

Rolly is a little cutie, it beggars belief what some people will do. Well done mate, it sounds like he has found a great home where he is going to have a lot of fun and give you a lot of fun back

Good on you mate
Any possibility he had just wandered off rather than being dumped?
ps - I don't think he's a rottie either, although at 4 weeks they can be pretty hairy and indescriminate. The flatter sleeker coats don't develop until about 6 weeks or so in many cases.
