Default A question for the tattoo'ed amongst us

And for anyone who just likes them.....

Couple of questions really..

What do you think to the quality of these tattoo's and more to the point, could you at any point put ANYTHING between them all to warrant calling it "a sleeve"

Sorry if it sounds bitchy, but im just trying to work something out in my head.

Isn't a sleeve one continuous piece of work rather than four seperate tat's as in the picture?

(More importantly, is continuace a word or have I just invented it?)
I think you were looking for "continuance" And yes its a word lol.

I have always considered a sleeve to be a collection of relevant and connected items, brought together in a themed single piece.

pretty poor imho. Any sleeve incorporating a large black rectangle would be appropriate.

I see a sleeve as 1 continuous design or if the artist was able to incorporate all the designs into one.

I am currently looking at a full sleeve with half chest and a full leg design.

Sorry but I think they look a bit, well, pants. They don't really work together and are definitely not what I'd call a sleeve.

Saying what everyone else thought, just more to the point eh

Jamie, trust me mate............ aint me lol

Lower tattoo I think is a harlequin(sp) mask. The picture of it without colour has some interesting line work, not sure it its meant to be that wobbly though.

Just glad im not the only one who is of the impression that its not their cuppa. The girl that it is all on is however very passionate and happy with them, and really thats all that matters I guess. Just would not have had work from the same person after receiving one of those.

I am unsure of what it going to make it into a sleeve too, will be interesting.
Maybe a LIDL carrier bag as a background ?

Now you have said it, I do see that it is a mask and not 2 cups of tea

If she likes it then that's all that matters, I guess.

FP yeah at the end of the day thats all that matters. Just a shame to see people get so many bad tattoo's without knowing there is better out there.

Aaaah im the opposite, first tattoo was 14 years ago now, and have never regretted it. Although my choice of tattoo's these days is far more thought through.

What did you get out of interest?

An eagle on my thigh...

The work is good but it's wrong in its position! Got a couple of others from the same guy that are equally good in terms of work, but better placed.

I would personally go see a good tattooist and ask their opinion, I personnally would get the cross thingy lasered too fade it down then start a sleeve around the mask. I had laser treatment on my arm to get a cover up and was well impressed though it did tang abit
