Well, there is no point going out for a decent riot if you are not going to get a tan, is there?

I think, but not 100% sure crime goes up in hot summers anyway, with much more chance of public disorder

and in really really hot summers, well, an Alien in an invisibility cloak stalks chavs driving Saxo's with load exhausts, sticking their burberry cladded heads on poles

roll on a hot summer

Exclamation sounds like a stitch-up to me.

Why do the police "Fear" ordinary people legitimately exercising their right to protest? Is it because we used to have democratically elected governments but we dont now? Or perhaps we used to be a country but now we are now a 'state'?

A 'Summer of Rage' is just what McBean and his NuLabour parasites need to declare Martial Law in Britain.

If that happens there will be NO general election next year, and history will repeat with another Long Parliament installed, voting themselves into Office for another term. Unfortunately, we have no Cromwell to put an end to their thieving ways.

So be very careful people. We know the far-left Communists and Marxists of the Socialist Workers Party will be in any marches that happen, and they will make sure there is enough trouble to give their Comrades in Parliament the excuses they need to call in the Military.

Oh, thats really going to help, burning cars, smashing the place up, throwing petrol bombs, f*ckin great, I always lose sympathy with any cause that causes pointless destruction and ends up with people looting tellies, bit very socialist really is it ?

Protest by all means, but keep it peaceful and non destructive, I find the best form of protest involves ladies getting nekkid not blokes in hoods setting fire to Police vans, cos we eventually have to replace said Police Van.

on the plus side, tellies are much easier to carry now from a looted store what with them being flatscreens and all.

All that riot training will be put to good use, rather you than me mate !

When I started at the the Police I was amazed by the number of nice cars that were a few years old, a copper explained that the ones approaching ten years old were payed for by the miners and the more recent ones the Strangeways riots !

You should see some of the monster's that we keep in cages and poke with a sharp stick to keep them viscous. I swear one of them is a 24 stone ninja.

I'll be standing just behind him...

Makes me sick. Credit crunch and the Council still expect increases. Our Council is utterly useless and I begrudge every penny I pay to them

So..............the papers are just now predicting riots this summer?

Some of us knew it was likely ages ago, especially when we saw that quite a number of troops would be coming home...just in time

Trust Lying Labour as far as you could chuck a boatload of 'em

Don't forget the 10,000 Tazers that have been ordered for issue to the Police.

My hope is that when ordinary decent people protesting begin to be struck down by 50,000 volt weapons the army will refuse to take part and join the revolt.

On the plus side - there'll be lots of buildings needing to be, well, re-built after the riots, thus giving work to lots of builders.
