I went to the cinema last night, took a friend with me as her kids are away for the night and she said she was lonely.
I had a brainwave (rare, I know) I'll take her to see Marley & Me - cute puppies are bound to cheer her up.
Well, no-one had told me how emotional the film is!
Anyway, the film played. Hilarious stuff and a real tear-jerker too (I had a lump in my throat at on point).
On exiting, my mate nips off to the ladies room, so I stand around waiting in the foyer as everyone else exits the theatre.
At first I was mildly amused by 75% of the females crying. Then I noticed that loads of the big rufty-tufty fellas were trying to hide tears too! I've never seen a film make so many people cry before. Especially the bloke's who looked like they'd eat puppies![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)
So there you go. Do real men cry? Obviously not at news about Jade Goody from reading her RIP thread on here, but at the thought of a dog going to heaven out come the waterworks.
I'll leave that thought with you.

You'll have to take my word for it:
When my children's (huge) Belgian Hare died, I dug a hole in the garden to bury it in.
When I laid the now very stiff critter across the hole it wouldn't fit. Not even diagonally.
Instead of digging a bigger hole I laid the Hare (Oscar) over the hole then applied a certain amount of downward force with the sole of my shoe, folding the animal in half until I was certain the earth would cover both upturned ends.
I got the kids to fill it in and went for a lie down.

I cried on Thursday night when I had my dog Sam put to sleep....
But I didn't fold him in half, I dug a decent sized hole and planted a tree at the same time !
dunx
no - LOL

I must be a Ghayer then, because since losing both my parents, Mum just before Christmas, I cry at the drop of a hat. I've turned into a right sentimental old softie.

I think thats understandable Chunky. I feel for you mate.
I watched Marley and Me too last Friday and I really struggled to hold back the tears. Its a really touching fim and I dont care if it gets to me. It felt good after having a bit of a 'moment'!!

I like to think I am a real man....apart from the occassional cross-dressing
But dogs are my weakness, no way am I watching that film, lest I have a lapse in masculinity!!
