At the birth, no I did not.
I found it quite painless, dont quite know what all the fuss is about.
I cried when he helped me wash my car with a brillo pad.
I cried when he put his Thomas The Tank through my Plasma.
I cried when he thought my DVD Recorder was a money box.
And I cried when on our first night in a 5 star hotel in Antalya he said I want to go to nannies caravan......
I have noticed he has become interested in my watches at 4 years of age, so I think there is more crying to come.
I suppose it was my fault, I introduced him to my Chase-Durer FCX when he was 3 minutes old....

Nope, no tears, although I was filling up............
The first one, I DID nealy pass out: he was a forceps birth, and until you've seen one of those, you've seen nowt![Freak3](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/freak3.gif)
Couldn't believe what they pulled out was a baby: he looked like a piece of raw meat

I didn't when my first was born but did on the second. This was mainly because my wife haemoraged and while about eight doctors and midwife's tried to keep her alive, i was left holding the baby until somebody noticed i was becoming a little distressed at what was happening.
When they then struggled to get a line in to her vein i was promptly escorted into another room.
All tuned out well though

Nope, no crying here. But after 27 hours of constant whining about the pain, and all the grunting etc, I was quite pleased it was over.
In all seriousness I think if I had been more awake I might just have cried though![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I was a VERY happy man that day.
7lb 13oz's @ 04.20am

I held it together at the birth. Just.
The tears came when we got home 2 days later and the reality of it all hit home.
I can still remember me and the other half looking at each other with dis-belief when the Nurse said "thats you free to go home now" FUUUUUCK

Rather than being filled with emotion, I was thinking WOW, he looks just like Yoda off star wars...
![](http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv204/mybin/PetersN958gbAug08409.jpg)
Hmmm, very smeggie am I....
![](http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv204/mybin/yoda.jpg)
The nurse asked me if I would like to cut the cord with an odd looking pair of scissors, I declined, the noise it made was like cutting through a hosepipe full of sand, very odd.
He was 30 seconds old in that first shot and he was still smegged up....![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
4 years on and he is a big lad taking his Dad out for walkies.

No I was lucky. Wife got her finger out and knocked the first out in 4 hours, second one in 11 and third in the carpark..........These days the grief they cause at 5 8 and 9 brings on tears of anger and frustration

Firstly GOOD LUCK Cookstar - your life will never be the same again!!![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
I don't remember him crying at the time - though the barsteward did fall asleep during the labour!!![Sleep](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/sleep.gif)
He has certainly shed a few tears since - I think kids certainly bring the 'real man' out, which is not a bad thing!![Luvlove](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/luvlove.gif)
I think the worst time was when we were told after a small stumble at two and a half she had fractured her skull. I saw the tears in his eyes & lost it myself!
Pleased to say all was well & after a few days in hospital she was back to her usual self - pleased to say I was questioned on three seperate occasions by a really freindly woman on the ward (later found out she was a social worker). Glad to see they were checking things out..........if only every area was this hot............!

I feel sorry for your kid.
AFAIAC - Living breathing flesh doesn't even live in the same universe as Rolex watches etc.
Although - I would swap some relatives for a new set of tyres tbh

Jods you have got it all wrong.
My watches do live and breath, they have names and I talk to them.
When I get new one I introduce it to the others like a new member of the family.
This is quite normal to me.

I didnt cry either, but then again I wasnt the one that spent a day and a half in labour trying to squeeze out 9 lb 11 oz, and ending up getting the sunroof opened to get the baby out

I'm not a baby person as I ain't ever been around them all my life. When my daughter was born I remember the nurse wrapping her up and saying who she should hand her to???? Either mam or dad! I remember thinking "please god don't hand her to me" I had never held a baby before and I was dreading if it was me. Would you believe the nurse handed the baby to me
I was soo ****ing happy but din't have a clue what to do, I always remember thinking her hands were that small that my thumb end was bigger than her hands ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
After that she has been a pain in my **** ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
