Default For the fishermen amongst us (laws help needed)

Does anyone know where you can find laws relating to fishing regarding the equipment that can be used and where?

I'm an archer, and a discussion started at the club at the weekend when we were mucking round with an Atlatal.

You can spear and ahrpoon fish in tidal waters, along with net fish, both of which are outlawed on fresh water.

Could always try the Environment Agency.

On our river we can fish for Sea Trout but only with artificial flies. We are allowed to fish for Salmon with fly or spinner, but the spinner can only have a single hook-no treble. Most Salmon are released so a single hook minimises any injury.

Probably comes under this:
Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 (c.51)
