I have decided to enter a triathlon at the end of september this year.
I was looking for advice or experiences from anybody who may have done one already.
My leval of fitness is ok but needs to improve.
Currently doing running as my main exersize.....10k 4x per week.
Any input is welcome as I am currently bricking it and wondering what the hell I have done!

I'm guessing you're doing a sprint distance in an indoor pool ?
Get in the pool ASAP and start learning to swim/breathe properly. Have a bad swim at the start and you'll almost certainly suffer on the bike/run.....

Firstly, good luck! ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The swim will make or break your race so make sure you are comfortable over the distance. Make sure your bike is set up well on the day, nothing worse than getting into the first few km only to find out something isn't quite right. Practice brick sessions over and over again: bike 10km then get off and run at least 2km and repeat to get used to your legs belonging to someone else. Finally know the course - I made the mistake of not knowing the course for an off-road duathlon so you can imagine my surprise at the 500m ascent on the 20km bike stage... (finished 8th last in that race
)
The best advice I was ever given was don't do triathlons, do duathlons and leave the swimming to the fishes.

It's also worth doing some practice runs straight from a bike ride, it's a funny feeling making your legs run when they have been spinning for 30mins....
