This might save some of you some money...........
If you have a branch of Kingsway Tyres" near you, next time you want tyres, ask them about "Dayton" tyres.
I have them on the wife's Xantia, and will probably use their D300 on the scoob next time. Reason? the D300's are a Toyo Proxes copy, wear well, grip well and are GUARANTEED for life.
I've just picked up a nail on one of the rears on the Xantia, took it in for a free repair, and received a free TYRE, since I still had nearly full tread left on the old one, and it was unrepairable due to the nail having gone through too near the side wall.
So.........even if you run it flat, and knacker the sidewall, they will uphold their guarantee, and replace the tyre, charging you only for the amount of tread you have used.
Well worth knowing for those of us running 40 and 45 series tyres, where it's not easy to see if the tyre is flat without recourse to a gauge.

I'll admit I didn't know that, nor do I know where Kingsway tyres is near me
Just picked up 2 Uniroyal Rainsport II tyres for the Pug, as the rears were desperatly low near the 1.6mm bars. Supposedly fantastic in the wet for lighter hatchback cars according to the tyre review place online.
Will bear that in mind though. You should tell Pete, he always likes scrimping and saving 50p on cheap oil, so tyres would be even ebtter for him.

Never had such a scarey tyre fitted to a car as Avon ZV1's. Ok in the dry, f*/***g scarey in the damp and even worse in the wet.
Best all rounders I've had have been something beginning with V and ending in steins (can't remember the full name).

They are not good tyres, they are for the financially challenged. Just because lots of people on here use them...that kind of backs up my point.
If they were so good, then you'd expect to see them on cars where the owners are not purchasing tyres based on a £25 a corner saving.
If I could draw a graph it would show that those with less money say cheaper tyres are their favorites.

I've got P6000's on my bag of scrap and I think they're terrible.
When had them on a Scoob, I always used to go slow on the wet windy roads as I didn't want to end up in a ditch!

The reports are hardly glowing are they.
Toyo T1R reviews - tyre reviews, ratings and road tests for all car, bike and trackday performance tyres
They are popular as they are cheap.

Play nicely, children.
TBH, I don't give a flying fek what anyone else says about tyres, I like ehat I have they grip well wet and dry, and wear well, and don't cost me an arm and a leg.
I don't drive like a lunatic, or a wanabe rally driver, so

Exactly, it depends what you want from a tyre.
On my daily driver I don't really need outright grip, and I'm happy to buy less expensive brands...such as Toyo.
When I was running the 944 Turbo, I'd only ever have premium brands fitted. Cost was not the important factor.

Also, as most people know, different tyres peerform differently with different cars, so
