Angry Robbed by the Cash machine/Bank Help pls

Went to the local supermarket cash machine in morn put card in pin in screen comes up for cash asked for £200 then other screen comes up saying something like "cannot deal with this transaction at the moment pls contact your card issuer" Ok card out off to work phones them up they say cards fine accounts fine try again so i did same again on the way home says the same thing at the same machine !
Off to another c/machine asks for £200 says no only can have £100 ! gets statement says you had £200 today already today and yes youve guessed it the other c/machine i tried earlier.Reports it at the store on way back gets in phones bank up again told to lodge complaint at local branch which i did next morn,I have just heard after 2 weeks theres nowt they can do theyve investigated it and the c/machine totalled up correctly by the way its not one of there c/machines,apparently this machine has been scammed in the past a hell of alot it was in the local paper theyre saying the company that manage atm machines this is not the case!
Has anyone had this happen ?
Whats to do next ?

There has to be a record of that transaction taking place. If it appears on your statement, flag it as fraud and get it followed up.

All ATMs record an electronic journal of each transaction, this journal contains the PAN number of your card, if you asked for cash it records how much you asked for and how much was dispensed. It also records what denominations of notes were dispensed, if the notes were not collected and transferred to the reject cassette this is also recorded on the journal for the transaction.

I guess your bank has checked the journal and it says the money was dispensed.

You'll need to raise a complaint through your bank, if I was you I would ask to view the ATM journal entry for your transaction.

Good luck

This atm machine has had a lot of scams done in the past 12 months,The bank say they have spoken to the company who run the atm and have questioned the journal but have been told it was correct so they have declined any payment return to me.
Maybe I can report a theft from my account ?
Anyone ?

Sainsbury cash machines will not be merchant fill (i.e. where the store keeper fills it using his takings from the till to save him banking it and save the bank paying G4S to fill the ATM)

So they cannot lay the blame on the supermarket, they will be supported by the underlying bank and filled by G4S.

Push the complaint up the chain in your bank.

I mayt not have read this all fully, but have you re-checked in case your balance has been updated??

The cash machine at my work is a bit of a ****, and there have been times it's shown up on my account that money has been withdrawn (which wasn't dispensed) only to find out at a later date, my account was updated, and the money was never really taken.

This may not be applicable in your case, but it might be worth checking out.

I had a similar thing a couple of years ago.
Took out £100 from a machine in Tesco, all good and off I went. When the bank statement arrived it showed 2 withdrawals from the same location of £100 - Barclays also put the time of withdrawal and it showed both had happened at exactly the same time date and time.
I fought for weeks and they refused to acknowledge that the machine was at fault but did eventually refund my money as a goodwill gesture. As soon as that money was in my account I closed it and moved the the Halifax for my banking.

Go to the financial ombudsman first, it's their job to sort out problems with banks

our complaints procedure and how to complain

If that doesn't work, go down the small claim court route. You can do it online, just put in the claim against your local branch manager and make it clear that you've been defrauded by your bank.

At the same time report the fraud to your local Police station. They won't be interested but if you perservere they will give you a crime number.

I know this is not going to help you now, but why did you use the machine if it has been involved in other scams?

Sorry to hear about that. Trouble is you personally can't prove anything. It also depends on the honesty of the person who checked the totals in the machine of course.

Yes. Must have something to do with immigrants, I'd blame them.
