The kebab meals were great and not expensive. Especially with the bottles of Kokinelli wine which are usually included in the price. Those are the bottles with milk bottle tops instead of corks! Good giggle mixture.

Some of it can be, though its been a few years since I was there, the tourist area's are more expensive but you can still have a good meal at a bargain price ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
What area are you planning on visiting?

Just come back from 42 degrees in Protaras
Great holiday, but as suspected the bad exchange rate now makes it expensive. We were AI so didn't really bother us, but ate out twice, main course and either wine or beer and each time was £30+
If you shop around beers can be €2-2.5 but most likely to be €3 or more....

I'm off to Paphos on 30 Jun. Have been to Italy last few years and decided to make a change. You sure get more for your money in terms of accommodation.
Can't speak for beer/food as I'm not there yet!

Expensive and poor: a result of their status. I was threatened with being shot by a Turkish soldier when I stood on a box to look into the forbidden zone (they dont like that). Turned out he was from Hackney! Away from the hotel and port area the 'suburbs' bording the FZ are positively third world. It was more like the West Bank than Cyprus. In the North Kyrenia is nicer, but the whole place is a semi third world backwater...
