Golfers - Do you use an electric trolley?
#1
![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Thinking of investing one, I carry at the moment but I'm playing 3 times a week and i'm fooked by the end of each round.
Who uses a electric one and would you recommend it. I want to spend 250ish and ideally want 1 with a 10, 20, 30 meter function so I can send it off to the next tee![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

lol, it's not an age thing. loads of our juniors use them (lazy fekkers
) if i was playing 3 times a week i'd have one.
personally pull trolleys do my back in, must be the twisting and reaching backwards. if i was buying a non-electric trolley i'd get the push trolley that powerkaddy do, a guy at my club has one and it seems very easy to use.
the only downside to trolleys i can see is your graphite shafts seem to get more shaft wear than normal.
just don't get those really cheap remote control ones, seen a couple of runaways of those now![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)
powercaddy, hill billy are good. motorkaddy(?) the one with a twisty handle for the speed control, they seem good value for money

I just use a regular trolley. Seems like a gadget for those that have money burning a hole in their pocket.
I get my kids to pull the trolley, or every now and again, the wife. She's always been a good judge of distance and length![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Thats the problem with pull trolleys, I find it hurts my back more than carrying. Also the powakaddy push cart is about £90 and the clic push is £140. For that sort of money I might as well get a powered one.
Have seen nothing but good reviews for this GoKart Electric Golf Trolley
British made and not a bad price.

Its easy to be critical of powered trolleys but the group I play with of various ages all use one and they consistently come home better than I do on 16,17,18. They look fresh as daisy's and I am really tiring. If I was playing only once a week I would always carry, but playing 2 min sometimes 4 times a week definately tires me out..

didn't realise the powercaddy push cart was that dear, it's a great piece of kit, but like you say it's well on the way to battery prices.
if you win the lottery give this one a try

Someone at my course had one, it got a lot of attention. Only thing it is huge, took up most of his boot which isnt ideal. Do like the remote function, makes life even easier on the back. Briefly flirted with the idea of getting one but they strike me as you get what you pay for, can imagine i running into the water etc when it loses signal![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
What do you think of these? Specifically the digital one a £220.
Electric Golf Trolleys
Seems really good value for money and like the digital feature, also has the 10, 20, 30 meter function. Or is it a cheap bit of chinese tat![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Trollies are for girls, be a proper man and carry![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
But if you do buy one don't get a powercaddy they are a fortune and no better than a Hillbilly

I have been having problems with my left foot for the last 6 months made worse by having a carry bag , so I have just bought a Hillbilly electric trolley , it has the 10,20 and 30 yard buttons , its great now as I can load it up with all the gear I need with no worries about the weight ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I had it from American golf , bought it with a bag for about £320.

Waste of money, I play 2 - 4 times per week depending on the weather - I have a motocaddy, basic one, bought for when I play league games against other clubs. I think over the last few years I have bothered to use it 6 times at most.
Carrying is better for you, and considering most people think my bag is lead lined, anyone can carry.
Its a gimmick, if you want to feel fresher after 18 holes, try playing 27 a few nights a week, then when you play the next 18 you will be a lot fresher as you are pushing your limits.
Otherwise if you really want one, get a cheap motocaddy 27 hole batter version. You really dont need all the bells and whistles a powakaddie promises.

my dads hill billy seems to be standing up pretty well, it's needed a couple of the speed dial thingys but apart from that it's lasting well. seeing how other peoples have gone i'd go for a powercaddy personally, they just seem to run and run

How about the Motocaddy S1 ?
I've got the S3, which enables you to send it off up to 60 yards, but I hardly ever bother with it, so save some money and get the S1. Mine is quiet as a church mouse and seems very well built compared to most of the other trolleys I've seen.
I used to carry my bag (for 30 years!), but now have a dodgy hip and find that I am definitely fresher at the end of the round, even when compared to using a pull trolley.
