If our Government had any sense, they'd stop all flights from China right now.

Pneumonic plague!. Not Bubonic plague, aka 'The Black Death' which killed over 25 million people last time; and is easy to treat compared to pneumonic plague.

No one can be sure, seeing that it ended in 1350. Its believed to have been Bubonic though primarily and Pneumonic secondarily. The less common infection had a mortality rate of about 95% IIRC!

I thought that the bubonic plague was the one where you got the swellings in groin and armpits (the 'bubos') but you didn't get those with the black death. And no, I don't remember from personal experience! (before anyone mentions it
)
