I've just tried SN in IE8, Safari and Mozilla Firefox.

IE8 - Taking an age
Safari - Taking an age
Firefox (WITH AD-BLOCKER RUNNING) - Fast as ****!

What does that say then?

All other sites running quick in all three.

It says you should listen to me and Dunc more often, as on countless occasions we've advised that anyone with an issue should try FF and ABP.

Anyhoo, I'm using IE7 at the moment on someone elses computer with ads turned on and its ok

I noted all of your are on SKY BB, I'm wondering if they are throttling traffic to the US or known US based ad servers?

edit: also have a nosey at this thread: https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...scoobynet.html

This is how it starts first Swineflu, then cutting off our communication with other countries....the end is NIGH!

I often look at adverts on other sites as they are not shoved in my face like they are on here, so installing ad block and missing ads on other sites for the sake of this one site is a load of sh1te TBH

Unfortunately that is something which is totally out of my control, all I'm doing is offering advice and help to get around any speed issues that some people are suffering.
