Default Ever been to Sealand?

So it looks pretty easy to set up your own country. I'm just wondering if I could claim one of those windmills off the coast of Skeg?

Ive always been interested in this anomoly since I first found out about it some years ago. If you read the last paragraph of the legal bit in wiki you will find that you can no longer build artificial structures for the purpose of extending soverign claims. So you will achieve little by nabbiing a windmill. Except possible 5 minute notariety as a failed supervillain ;-)

The wiki also mentions the recent plan to set up an online casino there. This arose when the US too actions agains online gambling casons on the Internet. If they go ahead I would not be surprised if a large American ship accidentally bumped into said principality and wipe it off the face of the map.

Theregister.com often posts update snipits of news about Sealand if you like to follow it; stuff about Rockall too if you're interested in this remote rock that also seems to attract occasional attention.

Cheers
