Are any of the others any better though? No point cancelling my contract if there isn't a better alternative. I've been with Orange for several years and Vodafone before that, and both have been/were a pain at times.

This is how big companies can be scared wittless by customers - and can hold them back from making the T&Cs worse than you signed up to.
Customer power at work.
Truth is, Orange is probably no worse or better than all the others!

Good stuff
Personally I am more than happy with Orange, but remembered others saying they were not, so thought the link would help.
Just wish they could get my Premier working properly, thats my only gripe.

Same here.
Biggest POS phone and provider I've ever had.
Only reason I moved from O2 was because it was run by CPW, who are the next biggest POS.
Problem is, T-Mobile doesn't work in my village, let alone my house!
Only 15 months left.....

lol thats what I told my sister to do, she aint understanding it.
She got a S/E phone that she just dont get on with. Got the text. I said cancel, and just use the PAC online and start a new contract with new phone....
I shall have to try and explain again.
You might find you started a new contract AFTER the changes had been applied, in which case, no text, no deal.

Speaking to Retentions as I type - I don't want to leave Orange but they don't know that! So they've offered me an extra 600 minutes each month until the end of my contract if I accept their new rates.

I was on hold for 1hr and 11 mins i hung up in the end as i couldn't be arsed to wait. Could be because i rang from a vodafone mobile and they could tell this, orange is pants at my house hence wanting to cancel. I cancelled all my add ons last month as i simply don't use the phone at all and saved £18, so when i do get through i'll be saving another £25
On the link posted there were some people towards the end saying how we should all feel bad trying to use a loophole to rip off orange If they weren't trying to rip off all their customers with these charges then no one would be exploiting this loophole.
Thanks for the info Snazy
