Not really (
), but the chance would be a fine thing wouldn't it? Has anybody managed to string 3 days together without rain in the UK this summer?
Judging by the huge amount of rainfall this summer, there could well be some massive flooding problems again in the autumn/winter months ahead. The ground must already be saturated for this time of year.
It looks like another soggy winter for the correspondents of GM-TV will be spent with the flooded-out folk of Sheffield, Tewkesbury & Hull!
Bad news for all of our insurance premiums too.

insurance premiums should only be affected by those who are affected and already in the areas know for flooding which gives a higher area code anyway.
however due to the current climate all insurance companies are putting prices up which means everyone is getting a higher premium regardless.

Move to South East Essex then (yes yes), Mr 2. We're desperate for rain here. Three days? I could probably fill you a couple of times in three weeks this summer!!

I keep a fairly accurate record of rainfall. IIRC there were 6 weeks from June - July where we only had periods of 48 hours with no rain at all.
Last week was ok, 3 or 4 days I think. But back to rain today, and its looking like there will be more in store towards the end of the week.
Looking a bit further ahead we only have another 6 weeks or so to get any chance of a nice end to the year, after that its all down hill
