Angry is Scotland a 'seperate' country now?

is it still part of united kingdom and therefore ruled by 10 downing street? or is a seperate entity to the rest of us in the uk, and ruled by itself?

the reason i ask, is if its still part of uk, why didnt gordon brown decide to let the plane bomber out (and not some mickey mouse scottish sort).

if its ISNT part of uk anymore, and not ruled by 10 downing st, why am i paying taxes for them, and why are there scottish mp's in the house of parliament.

you cant have it both ways. give 'em full independance, thats what i say!

They're pseudo-separate, politically. It wouldn't bother me either way if we gave them their independence.

Once the oil runs out they'll have their freedom.

Until then we'll continue raping them like we did India / Pakistan et al.

Once their resources are no longer worth the hassle of ruling them we'll re-build the wall

I wish it was a separate country. And, whilst we building the wall back up again, can we build one to keep out the welsh ?

I would love to know what Wales / Scotland actually provide for the rest of the country.

I always see Scotlands behavior towards independance similar to a small dog on a lead. Always barking, growling, trying snap at people, pretending to get off the lead, but deep down knowing the owner will keep them safe, holding them back.

So, ok Scotland, you want to be independant, off you go, become your own country, your own taxes, your own laws, army, etc etc.

The only money making industries then would be the brewers, as Super Tennets / White Lightening Cider sales would rock !

Well the scroungers do **** all and the workers pay TAX and NI. Simple as that really, it isn't rocket science.
I know which one I am regardless of which country I was born in.

At least I wasn't born into ignorance.

Yes, thats all very well. But, what is the ratio of scroungers to tax payers ?

Also, its very rare to find a Scotish guy that isnt a) Agressive b) Alcholic c) Red faced d) Endless boring facts about how Scotland is better that than England yet lives in England and e) This is the worst point of all, has to wear a bloody quilt at a wedding. Every wedding has a quilt wearing ponce !

Dont even start me on the Welsh. A completely useless region. It just a country you have to drive through to get to Ireland. Also, thier language ? christ, it sounds ridiculous. Why would you want to learn it ? Where else in the world is it used ?

Let the hate begin :-)

Well I live in England...... it aint no picnic compared to the lovely setting of the nice quite Welsh town in which I was born and brought up in. I love to take the scoob there for a blast now and again...... too many traffic lights and speed cameras here, can't get fast enough to blow a cobweb off a wing mirror around here.

I cannot speak Welsh very well, it is a difficult language to learn, and Wrexham (where I was born) was a county where the spoken language was predominantly English. I here it's Polish now though.

Quilt - that is priceless

have to admit I've never seen a Scot draped in a blanket at a wedding.

:-) My spelling is awful, always has been :-) I got an E for my English Lang GCSE and a D for my French, which is amazing as I drew over my French paper.

Does Wales provide for anything else but good roads ?? Thats all what people seem to positively comment on, the roads ! :-)

I think that the modern world has moved on from mining and forging Iron! lol.
Like I said, live i England, smack bang in the centre of 'industry' but I can safely say that the majority of people around here are neither contributing to the system or in fact English.
Neither of which bothers me to an extent where I loose any sleep to be honest.

The steam engine, TV, the origins of the "stockmarket" and insurance to name a few "Scottish" contributions to the world as we know it.

No, Scotland may of `helped` in defining the world as we know it, but what does it contribute to the UK now ? Cant give it a free pass because years ago it did this, that and the other.

Taking the UK as a business, and Scotland as a department, what value does it give to the business ? ITs costs seem to out weight its profits.
