Question Sexual Question

Now, I'm pretty laid back with what people want to do privately, but ...

I have a question ...

At work there is a woman, who used to be a man.

He/She lives with his/her partner .... who is also a woman, who used to be a man.

Now, what relationship do they have?

Are they Lesbians or are they Homo's?

Does it depend if one has had ALL the bits removed and the other hasn't?

If one man had his tackle and the other was transformed downstairs into a female - could they actually be consider HetroSexual?

I've got a headache just trying to work it out .......

Nowt so queer as folk

Its their thing, if they are happy then thats fine, I always think that with teansgendered people that they are pretty brave to go through all that to get what they want, they must want it pretty bad, to put up with having your chap whipped off, wearing frocks, high heels and getting funny looks, even RTM'd

A guy at the Police went off as Duncan and came back as Catherine, we all got tropped up to have a presentation about gender realignment, personally I knew the score, didnt bother me one iota, cant see why people get uncomfortable and opinionated about it, too many other important things that affect you to worry about rather than two people who have been converted !

Yes, OK - gay ...... but if you were born a man and changed to a woman, why on earth would you fancy a man who also wanted to be a woman?

I am genuinely confused .... just that I met the woman this morning, very nice person. Was told by someone else about his/her home arrangement and wanted to know if there was a name for it, other than just plain Gay?

The term Homo's..... I assume you mean Homosexuals, does actually refer to males and females.

And yes if one is legally classed as male and one is classed as female, then 'legally' and physiologically, they are classed as a heterosexual couple.

If they are both still male (because they have not had the chop) they are a classed s being homosexuals, the same as if they have both had the op, and are now both female they would be classed as homosexuals.

Why the interest though?

Thanks for that explaination - why wouldn't they be Lesbians?

Is there a name for Gay Men then, rather than Homosexuals? I thought Homosexual was the male version of the female Lesbian?

Interested just because I have a thirst for knowledge, I ask if I don't know something .... at my age I may forget it tomorrow, but at least I am still inquisitive.

Yes but a homosexual is not just a term for a male who is gay, a female who is gay is also a homosexual.
I think because you said homo's and the lesbian's it's as if you believe a lesbian is the term for a gay female and a 'homo' is the term for a gay male.
Oh and it's not very PC. However, SN is no exactly a very PC place anyway.

I'm not sure what isn't PC?

The words Homosexual and Lesbian?

Is Gay considered the correct term for both male and female?

I really am confused now ........

I have no idea what sexual arrangement they may have between themselves - just wondering if there was a term which was acceptable for their situation, so I don't drop one when I talk to her/him.

My mate is gay - I call him a raving poofta .... as I have done for over 40 years! But I know that is not PC and wouldn't dream of using it on here.

Personally I don't understand it at all. I don't even understand how a man can be gay. I don't have any sort of problem, and I can get along with gay guys...I just don't understand how they came about being gay? People say you are born straight or gay, but surely something has triggered the feelings at some point in life?

Who else better to understand? Let's face it, it seems like a lot of others don't have any degree of understanding, or any willingness to be open-minded and accepting of anyone who is in any way different.

How about unusual and none of your business whatsoever? Live and let bloody live for crying out loud.

I'm thankful there are some more open-minded people in the world. I'd prefer a few more of them were active on here, but still...

Do you work in local government?

I think they like employing interesting people like that.

Be thankful that are not trying to adopt.

I haven't judged them at all ....

And, yes, it's none of my business .... I am simply interested in understanding the correct acceptable terms.

Maybe some people need to get off their high horses?

"Correct acceptable terms". Yeah right. And you were trying so hard with "Homo's" (sic).

I think you should stop worry about everybody else's sexuality and deal with whatever repressed urges of your own you are clearly battling with. I know it's hard for those of your generation to deal with some of these thoughts and feelings but y'know help is out there.

Now go and drink your Horlicks and stop annoying all these nice people. It's past your bed time by now, surely?

You're the one starting threads about gender reassignment and unusual sexual relationships, Pete. Trying to displace YOUR overt interest in such matters onto me is a tad transparent and smacks a little of desperation.
