Anyne got experience of 'The Training Room'
My brother has recently returned from a year out in Australia and is considering a new career in personal training. He has made contact with the people that run this course and has completed a telephone interview with them.
However, it seems likely he'll have to spend in the region of £3-5000 to get the full training required, which consists of a 6 weeks intensive course. After that if he got employment I suppose it would be money well spent. However, he'd like to hear from people that have direct experience of this company or similar training programs before committing so much money.
My initial 'fear' is that despite the various marketing claims this company will look to train you and pocket the fees then, if you don't get a job, well, that's not really their problem, etc.
Thanks in advance

If you're spending that sort of money I'd want some sort of recognised qualification at the end of it or perhaps registration with some sort of professional body that represents personal trainers (if such a thing exists), i.e. like Gas Safe for plumbers, RIBA for architects, etc.
He should ask around the local gyms, canvass other personal trainers, etc. to see what, if any, courses are worth doing and if they are recognised nationally or internationally by the leisure industry.
