many years ago he played at one of the local clubs and i think the charge was around £8-10k plus travel expenses for him to do a 2hour set and jet off straight after. This was back when Judge Jules was King Pimp so it may be a hella-alot-cheaper now and as its norn iron i think they generally demand more too.

200K a set ? hows does the hosting club make any money from that ?
How much do the clubs charge for entrance fee ? and how many people do they hold ?? Even with 5K people paying £35, its only £175K ?
Amazing money.

I saw Judge Jules in Ibiza this summer. He came and played a set at a little bar called B4M. He did a half hour set and it was free as it was a warm up for his Judgement Sundays night at Eden.
He was fookin awesome and dropped Billie Jean in with his mix (as a tribute to Jacko)
200k for Tiesto? think you may be have got mixed up there.

The fact that they charge £50 per ticket and can hold 10,000 people in there. Do the maths Plus drinks are a scandal with bottled water being about a tenner!
I'm not getting mixed up

200k for tiesto would not surprise me. To see Him At privilage Was going to be 65 Euro. Plus drinks sales at 10 Euro a beer and 8 Euro a bottle of water and someone is going to be Laughing!

I read an interview with Sasha in a copy of Mixmag back in '03. At his peak in the late 90's he was getting £50-70k a set Was a millionaire put it that way, but he's one of the greats.
It would be nice to see what the likes of Van Buuren etc get now, as he is one I look upto having a very similar set layout and musical taste. I don;t get loadsa wonga for DJ'ing anywho - yet

Believe thats why he's called Judge Jules, as he did a law degree whilst cutting it as a DJ? If you ever listen to him on Radio 1 etc, hes quite well spoken and uses a wide vocabulary, quite like it

I like him alot. I love his style of music and I find him an amusing, educated guy. Also, he's married to a fit blonde girl, who was a singer in the 90's ?? Not bad songs either.
Ive never been to Ibiza, didnt realise those clubs were so dear. £50+ to get in, £8 a pint ! Do this 5 days of the week ? F**k that ! I love music / trance / dance, but not at that price.

You can take minatures in if you can be arsed. A coke to mix it with is still Around 8 Euros though. The thing is some of the clubs have salt water coming out of the taps or the basin is shaped so you cant fill your water up. (amnesia does).

I'll defo be sneaking in my own vodka next time but you do get searched sometimes. A small bottle under the ******** should be ok i'd imagine.
It instantly sobered me up when he told me the price, bit **** because some of the lads couldn't afford a round and as our disco biscuit days are well in the past we only stayed there a couple of hours.
Most people in there are taking e's so they only need a bottle of water to last them the night.
Quick calculation.... 10,000 x 55 = £550,000 on entrance fee alone per big night. They must be making a million a night in there.

Depends what part of the scene you're into. It's massive now with different superstar DJ's for different genre's of dance music. Me personally? I'm into the trance & progressive side of things, so DJ's such as Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Deadmau5, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate do it fro me at the moment. Similar for the production side of things.

I saw DJ Spoony at my local Que Pasa club last night, I was wondering how much he charges for playing in little old Stourbridge, bit of a comedown to where he must have been playing 9 or 10 years ago.
