Recommend some genuinely creepy spooky films...
I recently watched the film 1408 with Samuel L. Jackson & John Cusack & I found it surprisingly scary in some places. Call me a wet lettuce if you want but it was so unlike the usual gory rubbish that you get nowadays which never seems to make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck like 1408 did.
It seems we're so desensitised to all the gory films that come out, well who wouldn't be when you can see real murder & mutilation on the internet.
1408 was a breath of fresh air.
I'm a big fan of The Shining which is an amazing film.
Please recommend some other creepy spooky films, not necessarily gory, more psychological horror.
Cheers

What about The Happening?
It doe as a good job of makng you feel a bit spooked by absolutely nothing at all.
And its got the pretty girl in it.
Other overlooked spooky stuff
Stigmata
The Prophecy
The Cube (sequel and prequel quite watchable)
The Others
Some people rate The Descent and for clostrophobes it must be hard to watch but I don't rate it too much.
