Let me guess, they had him and then a picture in picture thing showing the "live" results, right? Did anyone have two TV's side by side, one on lottery draw (if it's still shown on TV) and one on mr brown. If so, notice, ooh, perhaps a second or two delay in his prediction?
I've seen the trick performed in a club before and all they do is have a couple of seconds delay on the TV showing the lottery show, and the chap is wired up and someone behind the scenes simply tells him the number from the live broadcast, then he reads it out about a second before the TV shows the delayed broadcast.
One of the episodes of Jonathan Creek showed how this was done as well.

If it takes years to learn how to do that it's got to be worth it.
stunned by that, the lottery is purely random. Derren admits he is not physic, and often works through influence and suggestion, but how does he influence a lottery machine.
Markus he had the numbers pre drawn on white ***** lottery style at the start of the programe ?

Erm no, his predicted ***** were on a stand next to the tv showing the broadcast, these were in clear view at all times.
As someone mentioned on another board though, if it was nothing less than an illusion he'd have bought a ticket and made a quick £2.4 million
I did channel flick and there was a barely noticable time delay, definately not in the order of seconds. More like milliseconds.

He had a stand of ***** next to him that IIRC the camera never looked away from. He turned them round at the end and the numbers were all there and in order. However, there must be some trickery involved.
The key reason this is faked is simply this... Camelot would surely not be able to block an attempt by any person to predict the lottery numbers. After all, their entire business model is built around gullible people and their feelings/beliefs, etc. Therefore, there was absolutely no reason why Brown couldn't have said, "the draw is about to start in a few moment, here are my predictions for tonight and this is my own ticket (produce it) which I've bought and written my own name on the back off....let's go live and see if I'm a richer man tonight"
There is simply no reason, legal or otherwise, why Darren Brown couldn't have done this. The only thing they would need to get permission from the BBC/Camelot for is to stream the lottery live through channel 4 and I can't imagine that would be particularly hard.
So, on the basis that Brown didn't show us the predicted numbers or a winning ticket before the draw leads us to one simple and unavoidable logic conclusion.......it was faked somehow. End.

same as david blaine when he did a show, something like inside the magicians circle etc, alot of camera trickery. if the numbers where on the ***** y not show them before hand. No one could enter the draw as you can't buy tickets after a certain time. IMO FAKE

Are you seriously suggesting that he actually influenced a lottery machine? Get a grip, man! Next thing you'll be aghast at how Paul Daniels can produce a rolled-up playing card with someone's signature on it out of the middle of an orange.
Markus posted an example of how a trick like that might be performed. It might not have been done exactly like that this time, but it was a trick all the same.

Ok, so not the trick I thought it was then, but a trick nonetheless. As SB said, if it wasn't, then why didn't DB buy a ticket and profit from it? Or display the numbers before the deadline for purchasing tickets to allow others to profit from it.
Channeling Mr Creek again, I recall there being something in one of Adam's acts where it showed a view of him writing something down, which was the "guess" of what someone else had come up with. It involved switching the feed to a monitor showing things. So it could be something similar to this.

Its clearly genuine. I'm so impressed I think I'm going to be sick with excitement.
Can't stand him or people of his ilk. Wife soaks it up like a sponge, silly mare.

One other thought on how he did it. Photosensitive coating on the *****, and the number was projected onto the ball after being announced and before the ball was turned round.
