Yet another watch thread
Its my birthday soon and i have been on and on to my wife about getting a watch for my 30th. Ive had a few few watches in me life all still working, one that is the casio tv watch and an old omega that i got for my 16th from my dad, but would like high endish watch that i can have in my collection and build on
I have been looking at the bell & ross models, I really like the aircraft dial look they have, does have anyone have any experience with them or any advice eg Yoza whats your views.

I have never wanted/owned a Bell&Ross although the heritage appeals to me, military/aviation inspired watches.
Also I dont own a square faced watch and Bell&Ross are famous for square face watches.
I think they totally fooked up when they launched their Skull watch at Basel last year, the advertising campain flew in the face of everything I thought B&R stood for.
By the way I am not homophobic in the least, lots of my boyfriends are gay , but that ad campain has dropped Bell&Ross well off my radar.
Why did Bell&Ross attract your attention ?
I guess you must have circa £3500-£4000 to spend on a watch.
Your not worried about buying a brand that is not mainstream...
To give helpful advice, more information about what you like is req'd /budget/expectation/watch history/interests/styles/complications/materials.. etc.

You show me that piccie just as I'm about to order a (not so real) B & R
I thought the pirate model looked a bit out of keeping with the normal "fly-boy" faces.
I haven't got quite such deep pockets am buying this with a Swiss 2836 movement and rubber straps - unless the watch gurus have any comments.

Oh I should have learned by now to stay out of these threads
That B&R watch above looks like a piece of tat that gets flogged on eBay. Heck £50 is all it appears to be worth to me, and that assumes you like the design (I don't ).
If only I "got" nice watches. I know someone who is good at design, we could make a killing at £3k per watch

If you buy a replica with a rubber strap it is IMHO an easy spot.
As the rubber on any highend watch whether it be an Omega PO, or B&R, Breitling SA, will have a certain feel to it, almost sticky, but dry, high friction, none slip rubber.
The rubber on any replica I have handled always felt hard, shiney, less friction than an original.
I hope you can see what I am trying to explain.
But at the end of the day, its your choice, and yours alone.
