if you're referring to frontier, that's just another version.

Braben's been working on Elite 2 for decades. he keeps promising it, but he's just stringing people along to keep interest and his status up

had this for my model b. loved it. i feel really old as i had a zx80 and zx81 (with the 16k ram expansion) and thermal printer!!!

I thought the MS space trading game was ok. Can't remember what it was called now.

Used to play this load when I was a kid. I even got to "Elite" status and sent off to the badge. I only found one of the missions though. I think the version I had had a bug and not all the missions were accessible.

Not only has it been made but there's a thriving community doing mods to it as well. Some of them make it truly worthwhile - like doubling the available universe by putting in a wormhole, massively improving the storyline and adding loads of new ships like X-wings, TIE fighters and the Millenium Falcon

Used to play it at lunchtime at work as a network testing tool...

Elite 'The New Kind' is superb. Think I still have my Speccy version of Elite somewhere with the annoying Lenslok that you had to put up to the screen
