i am not a bt engineer but used to work in the call centre at warrington and i knnow its fookin steep to go through BT. if i remember rightly several yrs ago it was £49 per socket, but we used to tell people that they could use people advertised in the local paper and they were much cheaper, about £15. these people btw are usually ex BT/ Telewest/ Virgin engineers anyway so they are all usually spot on and garuantee their work.

Sorry not a BT engineer but I am a reseller for BT.

Off the top of my head I would guess £99.

But as already said your best off buying an extension kit from B&Q and doing it yourself as usually the BT guys will just tac a cable all over your home and at least you could take the time to make it look a lot cleaner install.

didnt really want an extension lead, im using one now for my broardband and its the reason im not getting faster broardband apparently...they have told me it needs to be conected directly to the main socket via the small cable that they gave me and not an extention cable

The extension kits have proper wall boxes and are nice and easy to install so not much different to what a BT engineer would do.

just get normal 3 pair phone wire clip it round the house to your required destination and remove the master socket (which you should wire out from btw) install it into your required place then joint the wires connected to a and b in the master and copy at the other end. depending where your at id do it for £35 an hour
