Default Cars with tellies in ?

With the digital switchover will the tv function on all older cars, BMW's and the like be rendered useless overnight or can you get a digital tuner ?

JACKO, yes, if your car uses an analogue tuner it will be FUBAR when the signal gets turned off. Most later cars are being fitted with digital receivers, however my 2002 S8 will eventually lose the TV function.

Our old BMW is one of the afflicted

Basically, its foobarred.

I can get an aux input kit, which will allow me to plug in any a/v device (DVD, PS3, freeview box etc), but I loose the ability to control the tuning/channels etc via the HU controls and its not cheap. So I guess its that or fit an aftermarket head unit.

Thank **** our kids will be subjected to slightly less television, even if the cause was unintentional.
