I have it too, just come down stairs because I woke up to my bed soaking with sweat. I have been like it since Sunday with hot and cold attacks, a cough, diorea, sore throat. It's a nightmare as I took a week of work last week as my son was off school now I can't go in and risk infecting anyone else.
I bought some Tamiflu from Dubai a few months ago but decided not to take it.

Been struggling with this all week - thumping head, sore throat, hot, cold, ache, no energy, coughing, etc etc.
Was advised not to take the Tamiflu as this will only give you light relief, and reduce the whole thing by no more than 1/2 a day....
Been taking Beechams Cold & Flu capsules..........and slowly starting to feel alive again.
Still at least it hasn't killed me....yet!!

The flu tends to come on suddenly — you're fine in the morning but then aching and shivering that night — whereas a cold usually develops gradually over the course of two or three days. Flu usually causes a fever and aches; a cold usually doesn't. Other symptoms of the flu include headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, chills and, usually in children, vomiting or diarrhea.
That sums it up perfectly, I had a sore throat on Wednesday, came on very quickly and by Wednesday night I was dead ..

The wife was very ill for 7-10 days with proper flu a couple of weeks back. She couldn't get out of bed for 3 days and was barely conscious at times. Flu season is back and it is kicking off already. The dr said it could be swine flu but why bother saying whether it is or not, the fact is it is flu and no tablets are going to stop it. They tried to insist the wife had tamiflu just in case but she told them absolutely no way.
The strange thing is my daughter got it as well but both myself and my 4 year old son didn't get it even though we were in the house all the time with the sneezing and coughing etc. It must have been bird flu.
